I’m Aaron! My grandparents grew tomatoes in yogurt containers outside their teal house in Bermuda. When I was young we moved to the mountains of North Carolina where my mom continued to guerilla garden. The inspiration of the natural world has always guided me. Eventually I was lucky enough to teach field botany and horticulture at UNC Charlotte. My personal garden, selected in 2020 for a virtual feature on BBC Gardeners' World—one of only a handful of gardens from the United States ever featured—reflects the same naturalistic principles that underpin all of my work.
