There is the most incredible view of downtown from First Ward Creative Arts Academy. Unsurprisingly the original hardscaping was funded by a local bank, but the beds were blank by the time I first set eyes on them and asked if I could install a planting. Irises and tulips reflect the sunset and bloom when school is still in session. Longer lived tough perennials like globe thistle and prairie dock will add living sculptures in the seasons to come.
